Shiawassee County Habitat Page
Local Habitat Efforts
The Shiawassee County Chapter of Pheasants Forever Chapter 399 Planted 156+ acres of nesting cover, 536+ acres of flood plot, 150+ bushes and 1700+ trees in the calendar year 2015. This is a direct result of our member's continued support - dollars raised by attending our banquet each year. Thank you from Pheasants Forever 399 for a job well done!
Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, banquet attendees and raffle ticket buyers, we received 3 awards last year from National Pheasants Forever for nesting cover. (Great job all!!!)
Preserving Our Natural Resources
Creating, restoring, and maintaining habitat is a constant battle. We invite you to join the Shiawassee County Pheasants Forever Chapter 399 in its quest to ensure a country rich in natural resources and long on people willing to work to preserve them. After all, natural resources - pheasants, quail, and other wildlife, plus the land, air, and water on which they live - are our greatest resources.
Local Chapter Projects
Every year the Shiawassee County Pheasants Forever Chapter 399 has on going projects throughout the community. With our proceeds from fundraising and donations from community leaders, we are fortunate enough to give back, putting all our money in the ground to preserve habitat throughout our region. If you know of a project or would like to learn more about how to help in the effort to preserve your local habitats, please feel free to contact us with any questions.
