Shiawassee County PF Chapter 399 2020 Fall Youth Hunt REGISTRATION IS OPEN

We are excited about our upcoming youth hunt on Saturday October 10, 2020.

Morning Hunt (8 AM to 11 AM)

Located at: Woodland Acres Preserve 1613 East Mead Rd., Saint Johns, MI 48879

After completing the form, SAVE AS A PDF.  After saving the form as a pdf, attach the form to an email and forward to Martin Perez at - martymartp@gmail.com.

Here's a checklist to use to ensure we have a great day together:

Please be sure your son or daughter has:

Ø  Hunter Safety Card (valid Michigan small game license is not required)

Ø  Pheasants Forever Ringneck membership (you can sign up at the event)

Ø  Shotgun

o   External hammer shot guns are not permitted

o   PF 399 chapter has a limited number of youth guns that can be used if needed

Ø  Shotgun Shell's (#5 shot is a good choice for 20 gauge and 12 gauge short brass #5

Ø  Ear Protection (we will supply ear plugs if needed)

Ø  Eye Protection

Ø  Blaze Orange Vest or Upland Jacket

Ø  Blazer Orange Hat

Ø  Footwear appropriate for walking and fields with potential standing water

Ø  Briar pants, jeans, or long pants heavy enough to walk through brush

Ø  Outerwear appropriate for the weather forecast of that day

o   They will be walking through fields, so try not to over dress

Ø  Gloves if it's cold outside

Parents:

o   You are welcome to walk behind your youth group to take pictures or just watch.

o   The Guide/Handler is the sole decision-maker while in the field. This helps us ensure a safe and enjoyable hunt for everyone.

o   Parents or Guardians must remain on site, either with the youths in the field or at the barn. No drop offs are permitted.

o   Please review, print, sign and bring the attached Pheasants Forever Waiver with you to the hunt. (Located on Right Sidebar)

o   COVID-19 ABC'S: a) Masks are Required.     b) If you feel sick do not come to the hunt.    c) Please practice social distancing.

o   No Luncheon this year due to Covid-19.
